Boom Studio


The Boom Studio is the main window you are greeted with when Boom is launched. Think of this window as your green room or practice area.

There are 6 main sections of the Boom Studio: Video, Themes, Present, React, Timer and Alerts.


Video Tab


Use this tab to select your camera source, turn blur off or on, Boom video colour presets, and really dial in your look with zoom/pan.


Themes Tab


This tab houses all of Boom’s themes. Themes allow users to customize their video feed and stand out on their calls. Each theme is made up of 7 elements:

  • Name

  • Title/Social Link

  • Location

  • Time

  • Weather

  • Logo

  • Stickers

You can choose to toggle any of these elements on or off for your calls using the editing toolbar.


Present Tab


This is where you will find all of Boom’s presentation layouts for screen sharing. Use this tab to preview the different layout options available to you.


React Tab


This is where you will find all of the GIFs, Emojis, and Visual Effects available in Boom. You also have the ability to favourite specific GIFs, Emojis, etc. and access your favourites from this tab as well. Use the React Tab to make your calls more memorable.

💡 Pro Tip: Remember to favourite your go-to GIFS, Emojis, and Visual Effects so you can quickly access them on your calls.


The Timer Tab


The Timer tab is where you can preview the different timer options Boom gives you. Preview positioning, topic and styles. Use Boom's timers to have better control over your calls.


The Alerts Tab


The Alerts Tab allows you to connect Boom to your calendar so you take advantage of in-meeting alerts to help you ensure your meetings end on time.


The Boom Canvas


The Boom Canvas is where it all comes together. Use the canvas to preview any of the items from the other 3 tabs and set up your on-call layout exactly how you want. What you see on the Boom Canvas is exactly what others will see when you are on a call.


The Editing Toolbar


The Editing Toolbar supercharges your customizing powers. Use the toolbar to upload a logo, turn-off theme elements, change fonts, and more.
