Permissions
Permissions allow apps to access specific parts of your computer (both hardware and software). There are permissions for your computer’s microphone, video camera, screen recording, etc. Boom is a virtual camera app that asks for permissions to access different parts of your computer so it can add overlays and effects to your video calls.
Boom requires the following permissions:
Accessibility: Boom requires the accessibility permission for our shortcuts.
Camera: Boom needs access to your camera to display themes and other visual effects on your calls.
Location: Boom requires access to your location information to display your city and weather on your calls.
Screen Recording & System Audio: Boom needs access to your screen for our presentation features.
